A grand closing ceremony commenced at 1:30 p.m. local time (11:30 p.m. Bangladesh time) ahead of the main event, featuring performances by pop star Post Malone, Hollywood actor Tom Cruise, and popular YouTube content creator IShowSpeed.
American singer Jennifer Hudson performed the US national anthem, while tenor Christopher Mackie sang America the Beautiful. The closing ceremony carried a distinctly American cultural flavour throughout.
